What Clear Pool is
Clear Pool is a free, informational tool that estimates amounts of pool chemicals for home pools. It is not a professional service and does not replace advice from a pool professional, the product manufacturer or a doctor.
By using the website or the app, you agree to these terms. If you don't agree, please don't use the tool.
Results are estimates
Calculations use the measurements and readings you enter and typical product strengths. In practice, strength varies between brands and batches, and with age and storage. Spoon and cup measures are approximate, and test kits have a margin of error.
So before adding any product: check the label (if it differs from what the calculator says, follow the label), add it gradually, one product at a time, and test the water again.
Your responsibility
The decision to add any product, how much and how, is yours. You are responsible for checking the data you enter, following the manufacturer's instructions and warnings, wearing protection (gloves and eye protection), storing products away from children and pets, and keeping everyone out of the pool until the water is back in the ideal range.
The tool is made for residential pools. Shared or public pools (apartment complexes, HOAs, clubs, gyms, hotels, schools) and professional or commercial use must follow local health codes and the advice of a certified pool operator, and must not rely on this tool.
Limitation of liability
Clear Pool is provided "as is", with no guarantee that it is error-free or always available. To the fullest extent permitted by law, the person responsible for the tool is not liable for harm to health, the pool, equipment or property caused by: incorrect data entered; using products contrary to their label; mixing products; improper handling or storage; or decisions based solely on the estimates.
Nothing in these terms limits any rights you have under consumer law that cannot be excluded.
Reminders
App reminders depend on your device's permissions and battery saving, and may be delayed or not appear. Use them as a help, not as your only way of keeping track.
Products, ads and third-party links
We don't make, sell or guarantee any product. The app shows ads from Google AdMob, and there may be links to shops. Products and ads are the responsibility of whoever offers them. Mentioning a type of product is not a recommendation of any brand.
In case of an accident
Skin or eye contact: rinse with plenty of running water for 15 minutes. Breathed in fumes or short of breath: move to fresh air. Call 911 or Poison Control at 1-800-222-1222, and have the product container with you.
Privacy, changes and governing law
How data is handled is described on the Privacy page. These terms may be updated; the date at the top shows the current version, and the app asks you to accept again when they change. These terms are governed by the laws of Brazil, without affecting the rights that the law of your country gives you.
